01Comparison · ChatGPT or Workbench
AICTIONBOT™ · Comparison
ChatGPT or Workbench? ChatGPT writes the letter. The Workbench brings the figure.
Many businesses ask ChatGPT first when a price increase arrives. For the letter that is a good idea. The figure that matters, though, is worth checking at the source: which index, which period, which industry? The Workbench fetches the official figure straight from Eurostat, the figure your supplier cannot dispute. Here is the honest comparison.
The price increase check is free, no account, nothing is stored. Official Eurostat figures. Not legal advice.

03The comparison
Seven points, honestly side by side.
Both tools have their strengths. What matters is what you use them for.
| Point | ChatGPT | AICTIONBOT™ Workbench |
|---|---|---|
| Source of the figure | Answer from the language model, depending on the mode from its training or from a web search. Whether index, period and industry fit your case, you check yourself. | Official indices fetched straight from Eurostat: producer prices for industry and services and labour costs for Germany. |
| Evidence | ChatGPT names sources when it searches the web or when you ask. Whether they support the figure, you check against the original. | Dataset, index and period appear in the result and in the letter, for example Eurostat sts_inpp_m, C17. Your supplier can look the figure up. |
| Data flow and training | Your input goes to OpenAI. Whether it is used for training depends on plan and settings. The terms of OpenAI apply. | Demand, supplier and letter are created in your browser and do not leave it. Only the selected indices are fetched. The check computes without AI, nothing is stored. |
| Account needed | Depends on the offer of OpenAI. Yes for saved conversations and paid plans. | No. In the browser, no account. |
| Reply letter | A strength: writes fluently, adapts tone and length, writes in many languages on request. | Ready letter with demand, index, gap and source. With a licence on your letterhead, as Word and PDF. |
| Deadlines | Works out dates when you ask. Which reminders are possible depends on the offer. | With a licence a follow-up for the review, for example after six months, in the deadline guard. |
| Cost | Free version and paid plans; prices are set by OpenAI. | Check free. Licence €14.99 per month or €149 per year, 7-day trial without a card. Single check €1.99 net, day pass €3.99 net for 24 hours. |

04Approach
How to use both together.
- The figure first: check the demand in the price increase check against the official index for your industry. Result: market, demand, gap in percentage points and in euros.
- Then the letter: use the Workbench letter as the basis. If you want to change tone or length, ChatGPT can help. Leave figure, index and source unchanged.
- Share little data: to polish the tone of a letter, a chat program needs neither your supplier’s name nor your purchasing volume.
- Send the source along: your supplier can dispute an estimate. An official figure with dataset and period can be looked up, but hardly argued away.
- Know the limits: both give orientation, not legal advice. For large sums or unclear clauses a lawyer’s review is worth it. More in the price increase guide.
05Questions and answers
What businesses ask us most often.
Can ChatGPT check a price increase?
ChatGPT can put a demand into context, collect arguments and write a good letter. Whether the figure it gives matches the official index for your industry is best checked at the source. The Workbench fetches that figure straight from Eurostat.
Why does the official figure matter so much?
Because your supplier can look it up. Eurostat publishes producer prices for Germany monthly, for services quarterly, plus labour costs. If the demand is far above the index, it needs a justification.
Does my data go to an AI?
Not with the price increase check. Demand, supplier and letter are created in your browser and do not leave it. The Workbench only fetches the selected indices from Eurostat.
Do I need an account?
No. The price increase check runs in the browser, no account, no sign-up.
Can I use both together?
Yes, and that is often the best way: the figure from the Workbench, the polish on the letter with ChatGPT. Figure and source stay unchanged.
What does the Workbench cost?
The price increase check is free. The Workbench licence at €14.99 per month or €149 per year adds the negotiation dossier and the letter on your letterhead as Word and PDF and lifts the daily limit of the AI tools. You can try it free for 7 days, no card. A single check costs €1.99 net, the day pass €3.99 net for 24 hours.
Is this legal advice?
No. The Workbench gives orientation from a purchasing point of view, not legal advice. For large sums or unclear clauses a lawyer’s review is worth it.
