Execution ROI Signal™

No black box. Just transparent assumptions.

The Execution ROI Signal™ Calculator is a free decision-support tool. It uses the values you enter to estimate cost, benefit, payback, ROI, and signal strength.

It does not guarantee outcomes and does not replace a formal business case, audit, or financial review.

What this calculator is

A free signal tool, not a forced sales process.

The calculator is public and free to use. There is no obligation to contact KULIC Advisory, no hidden sales requirement, and no requirement to work with KULIC Advisory afterwards.

It is designed to help leaders structure investment thinking before committing budget. You can use the result internally, challenge it with your team, or ignore it if the assumptions are not useful.

Input quality

Where the data comes from

The calculator uses only user-entered values. It does not pull external benchmarks, validate commercial accuracy, or check whether the assumptions match your accounting, procurement, or operating reality. The quality of the output depends on the quality of the assumptions entered.

Inputs used

The current calculator fields

The current implementation reads these fields from the page. Assessment focus gives context, but it does not change the financial formula.

Context

Assessment focus

P2P, operating model, supplier leakage, S2P efficiency, or AI / automation readiness.

Value base

Annual addressable spend

The annual spend or value base used for leakage potential.

Volume

Annual transactions

POs, invoices, sourcing events, or relevant process transactions per year.

Effort

Manual minutes and hourly cost

Average manual effort per transaction and fully loaded hourly cost.

Quality

Error or rework rate

Percentage entered as a whole number, for example 5 for 5%.

Leakage

Estimated value leakage

Percentage entered as a whole number, for example 1.5 for 1.5%.

Investment

Implementation or advisory investment

The budget or investment required to address the issue.

Scenario

Conservative, realistic, ambitious

Scenario multipliers are 0.25, 0.50, and 0.75. Realistic is the default.

Formula logic

How the calculation works

The calculator strips formatting from numeric inputs, treats non-valid numbers as zero, and does not allow negative values in the calculation.

01

Manual effort cost

(annual transactions x manual minutes x hourly cost) / 60

02

Rework cost

manual effort cost x error rate x 1.5

03

Gross leakage potential

annual addressable spend x leakage rate

04

Gross annual potential

manual effort cost + rework cost + gross leakage potential

05

Adjusted annual potential

gross annual potential x scenario multiplier

06

ROI and payback

ROI = adjusted annual potential / investment
payback months = investment / adjusted annual potential x 12

If investment or adjusted annual potential is zero, the calculator returns the empty state instead of an ROI result.

Signal strength

How to interpret the signal

The signal is directional. It depends entirely on the assumptions entered and should be treated as an executive discussion signal, not as project approval.

CriticalROI is 6.0x or higher. HighROI is 3.0x to below 6.0x. MediumROI is at least 1.5x and adjusted annual potential is at least EUR 50,000. LowDefault signal when the above thresholds are not met.

Limits

What this tool is not

This tool is not a financial guarantee, not a formal audit, not legal, tax, financial, or compliance advice, and not a replacement for detailed business case validation.

It is also not proof that a project should automatically proceed and not a promise that any project will achieve the calculated result.

Privacy

Privacy and data handling

The calculator runs client-side in the browser. The calculator form has no backend submit endpoint, and no personal data is required to use it.

In the current implementation, the entered calculator values are not stored by KULIC Advisory. The page may emit privacy-safe interaction events such as field names or signal level if analytics is configured, but it does not send the entered financial values through the form.

Use it well

Better inputs make better signals.

Use conservative assumptions, test low / base / high scenarios, include recurring costs in your investment thinking, and challenge benefit estimates before using the result in an internal discussion.

Treat the output as a decision signal and conversation starter, not as final approval.

Next step, only if useful

If the number raises a real question.

If the number raises a real question, you can use it internally, challenge it with your team, or book a Value Snapshot™. There is no obligation to work with KULIC Advisory.
